Insulator Foreman/Woman

WCT Industrial Inc. has immediate position for Insulation Foreman/Woman in Sherwood Park location (job locations vary throughout the provinces of Alberta). Pay negotiable based on experience.

Job Summary:
Perform duties involving all aspects of insulation preparation and application in an industrial field setting.

• Supervision of insulation staff - have the innate ability to train, build provide feedback, supervise, and manage a team of highly productive and high performance employees
• Safety Management - promote and actively lead by example, portraying an ongoing health and safety culture that is mirrored with the company safety program
• Asset Management - be able to responsibly manage and maintain company equipment/assets

Insulation duties:

• Applying, removing, and repairing insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems such as heat exchangers, tanks, and vessels, to help control noise and maintain temperatures
• Covering, sealing, or finishing insulated surfaces or accessing holes with plastic covers, canvas strips, sealants, tape, cement or sheet metal
• Determining the amounts and types of insulation needed, and methods of installation, based on factors such as location, surface shape, and equipment use
• Fitting insulation around obstructions and shaping insulating materials and protective coverings as required
• Installing sheet metal cladding around insulated pipes with screws in order to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical damage
• Measuring and cutting insulation/cladding for covering surfaces, using tape measures, handsaws, side cutters, knives, and scissors
• Preparing surfaces for insulation application by brushing or spreading on adhesives, cement, or asphalt, or by attaching metal pins to surfaces
• Works collaboratively with all other WCT employees and client representatives
• Maintains adherence to WCT policies and procedures and represents WCT with professionalism and tact

• Climb heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints
• Lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs
• Strong manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination

• Trade Ticket, Blue book or Proof of Hours
• Journeyman Ticket
• A&D Test
